Backups

All websites get weekly backups no matter which package you choose, and we’ll keep them for 90 days, so if anything goes wrong it’s easy to fix. Plus, premium subscription users get daily backups and the use of a developmental site for testing, so there’s no need to worry about downtime.

Poor performance

If your site is running on outdated plugins, themes, or even using an older version of PHP, you’ll end up with poor performance and impacted SEO, which will end up turning visitors away to your competitors.

No Backups

Without website backups, if your site gets hacked it’s much more difficult to rebuild and fix the problem. Having no backup might mean you have to completely rebuild your site from scratch.

SEO Implications

All search engines, including Google, like up to date, well performing sites so their users get the best experience. Any evidence of hacking will mean no search visibility and it’ll be disallowed on PPC campaigns.

No, there’s no fee to cancel. All you need to do is give us 30 days notice, as outlined in the business terms.

All site maintenance packages are available monthly or annually and you can cancel at any point no questions asked.

Yes, you can get a just hosting package, but any hacks or security issues will be charged on an hourly basis of £50 per hour.

However, if your site is too old or has any security concerns then we may refuse to host you for the protection of all our other clients, but will be happy to offer suggestions and support to address your vulnerabilities.

No. In order to offer you full maintenance support we also need to be in full control of your hosting.

However, it may be possible to look at a hosting package with our provider, which you can keep in house and we can manage for you.

If you’re getting your site built by us, there’s no setup fees if its within 90 days of your site being launched. (This is currently extended for a limited time only)

If you want to join the hosting and maintenance package and it’s after 90 days, there’s a £99 set up fee so we can update all the tools, clean the database, install new tools and backup the site, among other things.

If your site was designed by another, there’s a £250 setup fee as there’s a lot of upfront work involved to update and learn the tools to get it ready to be properly maintained.

If your site is too old, we would always recommend a rebuild, which comes with six months of maintenance included.

All hours spent on your site are recorded, and even though we don’t set an amount of hours to be rolled over, we do take this into account when, and if, issues come in to be fixed.

This also works if we over-spend on hours and we need to balance things out.

So, if you’ve not used the hours in a few months and a big project comes up, this will be taken into account when looking at hours on your project.

Obviously, this will also depend on availability and existing commitments at the time.

Support for your email issues will depend on your package.

The main package is for website maintenance and doesn’t include emails, but if you’re having problems we can help but this is separate to your maintenance package.

Once you’ve decided to come aboard, the onboarding process starts. This is a simple five step process:

  1. Get access to your website
  2. Take an offsite backup
  3. Security audit and security fixes
  4. Set up website uptime monitor and alert system
  5. Initial site updates and report to you

The maintenance package is about maintaining your current site in it’s best working order, but sometimes a site is too old and needs a rebuild to offer the best security and user experience.

We’re big fans of WordPress and have been building sites on it for 15 years.

A standard monthly maintenance package involves updating plugins, investigating security alerts, monitoring the site for speed and uptime, investigating alerts from Google, taking offsite backups and more.

Alongside this, your site will always be the very latest version, we’ll test upgrading your site on a staging site before applying updates to avoid anything breaking.
